YOUNG ENGINEERS FOR BRITAIN PAGE

The "Young Engineers for Britain" was mentioned in the Schools page, but here is more information....
Britain cannot survive in a competitive world without engineering and exports. It is therefore vital that students at school are encouraged to be attracted into engineering....and this scheme does just that....
Apart from a first prize of £5000 there are several £1000 prizes for innovative projects, and the scheme is sponsored by industrial companies.
This young student from St.Patrick's College, Co. Londonderry ,was a winner of the "National Grid Award", worth £1000. The award was made for the most innovative Electrical Engineering Application. The project was to develop Self-Automated Lubrication
The organiser for YEB in the North East is Geoff Clack.
